Features & Design Updates
- Upgraded V2 Design: Lighter, more compact, and features a deeper set so resin does not spill as easily during pours.
- Hollow Backing: Designed with a hollow back to ensure easy, hassle-free demolding, lighter shipping weight, and efficient silicone usage without sacrificing quality.
Pre-Order & Shipping Information
- Production Lead Time: Requires 2 weeks for production + 1 week for packaging before dispatch.
-
Pre-Order Notice: As a brand-new design, Version 2 may encounter slight production delays as we refine the first batch.
Notice
Silicone molds will not last forever! With frequent use and repeated exposure to resin, silicone molds will naturally wear out, turn matte, or become sticky over time. Following these care instructions will help you get the absolute max lifespan out of every mold!
Resin Recommendations
Resin Recommendations
We strongly recommend using a low-viscosity, clear epoxy resin so your casts come out crystal clear with minimal micro-bubbles.
- US Recommendations: High-performance, low-viscosity options like Liquid Diamonds, Alumilite Amazing Clear Cast, or Smooth-On epoxy formulations yield fantastic results.
- Avoid High-Heat Resins: Stay away from fast-curing resins, deep-pour formulas that flash-heat, or UV resins, as extreme heat spikes will rapidly degrade and damage the silicone matrix.
Pouring & Casting Best Practices
Pouring & Casting Best Practices
- Level Your Surface: Make sure your work table and mold are completely level on flat ground before pouring to avoid uneven edges.
- Stir Slowly: Mix your resin (Part A & Part B) gently and slowly using a steady motion to avoid whipping micro-bubbles into the mixture.
- Pop Micro-Bubbles: Use a toothpick or pipette to guide trapped bubbles to the surface and pop them.
- Light Heat Technique: You can quickly pass a heat gun a few inches above the surface to burst surface bubbles—do not hold the heat source over one spot to avoid scorching the mold.
- V2 Mold Special Feature: If you are using our Version 2 (V2) upgraded molds, you do not need to fill the cavity to the very top lip! The deeper cavity was intentionally designed with extra headspace to give you a buffer and prevent accidental overflows during pours.
Demolding & Mold Care Guidelines
Demolding & Mold Care Guidelines
- Wait for Full Cure: Allow your piece to cure completely before demolding. Pulling resin out prematurely while it is still tacky or soft can warp the finished shape and damage the details of your mold.
- Demold On Time (Crucial!): Do not leave cured resin sitting inside the mold long past its maximum cure time. Over-curing inside the mold creates excessive adhesion between the resin and silicone, which significantly shortens the overall lifespan of your mold.
- Storage: Clean gently with clear tape if needed. Store flat in a dust-free environment away from direct sunlight/UV exposure.
